ALITA 3301 – High-Performance Polyester for Chemical-Resistant FRP Applications

Principal Properties & Application:

ALITA 3301 resin is a bisphenol A type unsaturated polyester resin primarily made from D-33 monomers. It has moderate viscosity and high reactivity. ALITA 3301 resin belongs to the chemical-resistant CEE type material, exhibiting excellent mechanical properties, high heat distortion temperature, and corrosion resistance. This product is suitable for manufacturing fiberglass-reinforced plastic products that can withstand chemical corrosion under high-temperature conditions, such as electrolytic cells, chemical storage tanks, fiberglass pipelines, and industrial flooring in chemical plants.

Note:
1. The casting process follows GB/T 8237-2005, with a curing system consisting of 0.5% Co/oct promoter and 2.0% Butanox M-50 curing agent.
2. After casting, the curing treatment involves 24 hours at room temperature, followed by 2 hours at 60°C and 2 hours at 80°C.
3. After applying fiberglass reinforcement, the curing treatment involves 24 hours at room temperature, followed by 3 hours at 60°C and 3 hours at 110°C.

Instruction and attention:

1. ALITA 3301 resin does not contain wax, promoters, or thixotropic agents.
2. For higher heat and corrosion resistance requirements, it is recommended to choose ALITA epoxy vinyl-based 901 resin.
3. When selecting a resin with heat and chemical resistance for specific applications, it is important to refer to our company’s “Heat and Chemical Resistance Database” and choose the appropriate resin based on the actual usage medium and temperature, and confirm through testing.
4. Curing is particularly important for corrosion-resistant fiberglass-reinforced plastic products, and the products should be used only after they have fully cured.

Handling and Storage:

This resin contains ingredients which could be harmful if mishandled. Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided and necessary protective equipment and clothing should be worn.
Drums – It is highly recommended that all material is stored at stable temperatures below 25°C (77°F). Avoid exposure to heat sources such as direct sunlight or steam pipes. To avoid contamination of product with water, do not store outdoors. Keep sealed to prevent moisture pick-up and monomer loss. Rotate stock.
