ALITA 6688 – High Viscosity Unsaturated Polyester for Stone and Furniture Coatings

Principal Properties & Application:

ALITA 6688 resin is an unsaturated polyester resin primarily made from phthalic anhydride. It has high viscosity and moderate reactivity. ALITA 6688 resin has a light color, good flexibility, strong adhesion, and provides a glossy and full coating, making it suitable for surface coatings on stone and furniture.

Instruction and attention:

      1. ALITA 6688 resin contains wax but does not contain accelerators and thixotropic agents.

      1. Recommended curing system: special colorless accelerator 0.4-2.0%, MEKP curing agent 1-2%. In actual operation, the dosage of curing agent and accelerator should be determined through on-site trials based on environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity.

    Handling and Storage:

This resin contains ingredients which could be harmful if mishandled. Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided and necessary protective equipment and clothing should be worn.
Drums – It is highly recommended that all material is stored at stable temperatures below 25°C (77°F). Avoid exposure to heat sources such as direct sunlight or steam pipes. To avoid contamination of product with water, do not store outdoors. Keep sealed to prevent moisture pick-up and monomer loss. Rotate stock.
