ALITA 793 – MMA-modified solid surface resin

Principal Properties & Application:

ALITA 793 resin is an MMA-modified orthophthalic polyester resin, primarily made from phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride, and standard diols. It is dissolved in crosslinking monomers such as styrene, offering moderate viscosity and reactivity.

ALITA 793 resin features a light color, high transparency, fast curing, high strength, and excellent weather resistance. It is ideal for high-performance solid surface materials, imitation jade sanitary ware, translucent stone, and other casting products.

Technical Specifications of Liquid Resin:

Gel time test: In a 25°C water bath, add 0.9g of T-8M (1% Co) and 0.9g of M-50 (Nouryon) to 50g of resin.

Instruction and attention:

1. ALITA 793 resin contains wax and does not include accelerators or thixotropic additives.
2. Cutting and sanding during the production process should be performed after sufficient post-curing.
3. Post-curing at 60-70°C for no less than 3 hours will result in better product performance.
4. Moisture absorption by fillers should be avoided, as excessive moisture content can affect curing and lead to a decrease in performance.

Handling and Storage:

This resin contains ingredients which could be harmful if mishandled. Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided and necessary protective equipment and clothing should be worn.
Drums – It is highly recommended that all material is stored at stable temperatures below 25°C (77°F). Avoid exposure to heat sources such as direct sunlight or steam pipes. To avoid contamination of product with water, do not store outdoors. Keep sealed to prevent moisture pick-up and monomer loss. Rotate stock.
