ALITA 901 – Vinyl Ester Resin

Principal Properties & Application:

ALITA 901 resin is a bisphenol A type epoxy vinyl ester resin primarily composed of epoxy resin and methacrylic acid. It has moderate viscosity and reactivity. ALITA 901 resin falls into the category of Chemically Resistant (CEE) materials, exhibiting high mechanical strength and excellent corrosion resistance, crucial for applications involving vinyl ester FRP and vinyl ester fiberglass resin. It can withstand the corrosive effects of most acids, alkalis, and salt solutions at temperatures up to 100°C. This vinyl ester resin is suitable for manufacturing various chemical equipment such as pipes, containers, and tanks that require resistance to acid, alkali, and salt corrosion. Additionally, it is used in the production of high-quality glass fiber reinforced plastic molds and other fiberglass products where resin vinyl is required.

Usage instructions:

1. ALITA 901 resin does not contain paraffin, accelerators, or thixotropic agents.
2. Recommended curing systems: pure cobalt-based accelerator 0.5-4.0%, MEKP curing agent 1-3%; for harsh construction environments (such as low temperature, high humidity), recommended 10% DMA (dimethylaniline) liquid 0.5-2.0%, 50% BPO (benzoyl peroxide) paste 2-4%. In actual operation, the dosage of curing agent and accelerator should be determined based on environmental conditions such as temperature
and humidity through on-site testing.
3. When selecting heat-resistant and chemically resistant corrosion protection resins, the choice should be based on the actual usage medium and temperature of the product, referring to our company’s “Heat-Resistant and Chemically Resistant Medium Usage Query Table” to select the appropriate resin, and confirm it through tests.
4. Curing is particularly important after corrosion-resistant fiberglass reinforced plastic products are made. The products should be used only after they have fully cured.

Handling and Storage:

This resin contains ingredients which could be harmful if mishandled. Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided and necessary protective equipment and clothing should be worn.
Drums – It is highly recommended that all material is stored at stable temperatures below 25°C (77°F). Avoid exposure to heat sources such as direct sunlight or steam pipes. To avoid contamination of product with water, do not store outdoors. Keep sealed to prevent moisture pick-up and monomer loss. Rotate stock.

How can I get a sample?2024-07-17T06:56:11+00:00

We provide small samples free of charge, but you will need to cover the shipping costs.

Are you able to adjust the formula to meet our requirement?2024-07-17T06:59:11+00:00

We have our own technical department. After you test the sample, please provide us with your detailed requirements. We can adjust the resin accordingly to enhance the properties of your finished products.

What is the lead time for mass production?2024-07-17T07:00:10+00:00

Honestly, it depends on the quantity. We will do our best to create a production plan based on your estimated time of arrival (ETA).

What are your terms of payment?2024-07-17T07:01:14+00:00

For the first trial order, we require 100% payment upfront. For subsequent orders, we ask for 30% payment in advance and 70% payment after the buyer receives the B/L copy. We also accept L/C if needed.
