Zinc Stearate
Chemical Formula: Zn[CH3(CH2)16COO]2
Melting Point: 117-125°C
Properties:
Zinc stearate is a white granular or fine powder with a smooth texture and a slight fatty odor. It is non-toxic, insoluble in water and ethanol, and decomposes into stearic acid and the corresponding zinc salt when exposed to strong acids.

Main Applications
- Zinc stearate is used as a PVC heat stabilizer. When combined with calcium stearate and barium stearate, it exhibits a synergistic effect, effectively enhancing the stability of PVC products.
- It serves as a processing lubricant and mold release agent, reducing plastic processing difficulty and improving efficiency.
- Zinc stearate is also used as a sanding aid in wood coatings, enhancing sanding efficiency in later stages.
- In petrochemical applications, it acts as an acid scavenger, absorbing excess acidic substances to protect equipment from corrosion.
Product Applications
- Halogen absorber in petrochemical applications.
- Lubricant and mold release agent for thermosetting plastics, such as amino molding compounds and unsaturated polyester resin molding compounds.
- Stabilizer and lubricant in PVC products.
- Dispersant and lubricant in masterbatch production.
- Anti-sticking agent in rubber products.
- Waterproofing agent in textiles.
- Sanding aid for oil-based resins.
- New granular zinc stearate formulation solves dust issues in certain industries, reducing raw material loss.
Packaging & Storage
- Packed in composite paper bags lined with high-pressure polyethylene film, 20 kg per bag, or customized according to customer requirements.
- Stored and transported as a non-hazardous material. Keep in a cool, ventilated place and avoid storage with acids, alkalis, or corrosive substances.
We provide small samples free of charge, but you will need to cover the shipping costs.
We have our own technical department. After you test the sample, please provide us with your detailed requirements. We can adjust the resin accordingly to enhance the properties of your finished products.
Honestly, it depends on the quantity. We will do our best to create a production plan based on your estimated time of arrival (ETA).
For the first trial order, we require 100% payment upfront. For subsequent orders, we ask for 30% payment in advance and 70% payment after the buyer receives the B/L copy. We also accept L/C if needed.
